Air Force Medical Requirements--Asthma/Exercise Induced Asthma?

These are useful and collceted by Asthma Info!

Air Force Medical Requirements--Asthma/Exercise Induced Asthma?I know that the Air Force Academy will not accept someone with records of ever having asthma.
I have exercised induced asthma. HOWEVER, I was never tested; they merely put it on my records and gave me an albuterol inhaler without testing me.
What are the chances of being able to get into the AFA with this on my records?
And if I were to be tested now, and it proves that I do not have asthma, will they take "exercise induced asthma" off my records since they improperly diagnosed me?

Thanks!

I would see a pulmonologist and see about doing a pulmonary function test. Asthma is finally getting recognition as the serious disease that is is. Telling someone they have asthma, of any sort, with no follow up is irresponsible, in my opinion. As far as it having the diagnosis taken of your records, I'm not sure, but if your PFT comes out fine, the pulmonologist may be able to make a notation of a mis-diagnosis.

Sorry, Bub-- they only take perfect specimens.
Exercise-induced asthma would make it impossible to keep up with the rigorous physical training that every branch of the service demands.
