Asthma Info: Medical history interference?

Medical history interference?I've posted previously on here about being told to conceal medical history facts at MEPS and how I didn't conceal, but now I'm in a strange position. I'm 27, and when I was roughly 14 a doctor prescribed me an inhaler (I think so, at least, I was having seasonal allergies and probably under the influence of cold medicine). I've gotten ahold of my entire medical history that I could find and there is nothing in there whatsoever about an inhaler, and only one mention of "possible asthma" from when I was 4 years old and had pneumonia, and no mention of asthma after that.

Needless to say, it sounds pretty complicated and I'm trying to figure out how to un-complicate it. The recruiter said I need to get a letter from the doctor saying I was prescribed an inhaler for something other than asthma, but if there is no record and the doctor does not recall, then I'm not sure what my next avenue is. Should I just get myself a pulmonary functions test to show that I'm not afflicted?

On another note, I can't believe how disorganized the system of maintaining medical records is.

go have a check up... mistakes are often made and you may not have ever had asthma.
