i have been having panic attacks and shortness of breath"?what could this mean...is there anything i can do to stop or reduce these episodes..

I am 32 and have suffferd panic attacks from severe to mild since I was 16... I have recently cut out the refined foods, sugar and alcohol, but I have stayed away from caffiene for years.. any how I now take fish oil 3 times a day and a multivitamin and I make sure I get some exercise.. I can tell you this has helped me a great deal.. the shortness of breath is an anxiety symptom that you are actually breathing too much due to the stressful thoughts your having .. if it gets to much for you cup your hands over your mouth and take few breaths and let go.. that helps too and remember to always tell yourself.. It's only anxiety that's all..
