Long Term effects from asthma meds for toddlers?My 21 month old son has "hyper-reactive airway disease", basically asthma, and has just been put on FLOVENT twice daily. Are there any of you out there with children on this inhaled steroid, and have you noticed any short term or long term health effects? Any input is greatly appreciated.

honestly I dont know BUT I just gotta say how I have read up lots on why asthema is becoming more and more common..
DO NOT use household spray chemicals.. - sadly once asthema has started you cannot truely reverse it.. BUT by not using the spray chemicals hopefully you can decrease the ammount of pollutants you put into the air and maybe help another kid NOT to get asthma... also DO NOT USE air spray air fresheners - for the same reason - some of these are actually frightening - did you know some word by DEADENING the nerves in your nose?? so the smell is still there but your smell nerve endings are unable to work...
pets - there is a substancial amount of proof that having 2 or more pets in a home actually PREVENTS kids from getting asthema - this is because the PET impurities are NATURAL - and the kids build up naturally against them -
some problems start when kids are exposed to too many UN NATURAL pollutants (like car exhaust and chemical sprays) and not enough NATURAL ones...
move to the country... city life is killing our kids - cut down on ALL chemicals you use...
save your kid - save the planet..
