A good opening for "egg allergy" informitive speech??It's an informitive speech, my teacher strictly told me don't open with these lines...
"I'm going to talk about"
"My speech is about"
"I'm going to be speeching on" (you get the point...)
No BS she said, break it professionally and finish it likewise.
Serious suggestions first , then jokes. And any good ideas for a visual aid???

Your teacher is absolutely right. The introduction to your speech is the most important part. It is where you will either gain the attention of your audience for the rest of your speech, or lose them to doodles on their notepad.
What you want to do is grab the attention of your audience. A canned joke is usually ineffective. So is a stereotyped story.
Here's a great idea that would really grab the attention of your audience - but it will take some preparation time. There is a technique (see link below) for removing the "guts" of an egg without breaking the shell.
Now, what you would do is get an egg shell with nothing inside it - but don't tell anyone that there's nothing inside it. When you begin your speech, hold up the egg and talk about it. "This is an egg. It comes from a chicken. We love to eat eggs." Everyone in the audience will assume that the egg is full of egg-goop.
And here's where you grab their attention. "But for some people..." - THROW THE EGG, or SLAM IT ON THE GROUND, or CRUSH IT IN YOUR HAND - "cannot eat eggs. They are allergic. So let's examine this affliction that makes an egg so dangerous to a few unlucky people..."
See, the unexpected violent action toward an egg - which people are expecting to be handled very carefully - will catch people off guard. The abrupt nature will wake them up. And just like that - a great introduction!
