P.S. This is a concern of a loved one who is admitted to the E.R.

It sure could be a good idea to give Zofran to control her nausea and vomiting and Morphine to not only control pain but to increase blood flow to her lungs and ease her breathing. The doses you list are with in acceptable limits for age and level of health.

first off why are you asking? are you a family member giving care at home? why does he need these medications in the first place? sounds fishy the way you ask it to be honest.
but assuming that this is a question regarding a loved one at the hospital, the answer is yes and no.
morphine and zofran both have the potential to cause sleepiness and morphine is especially known to cause slowing in the rate of breathing.
if the patient suffers from those side effects, the pco2 may rise which may be dangerous.
on the other hand, if the patient has already received these medications and has tolerated them well, then no worries.
these meds have no effect on diabetes in general.

How old is the elderly person? Is he/she used to receiving opiates or not? 2 mg of morphine is a very small dose, and is unlikely to cause death. What was the admission for? Shortness of breath? Something else? What other medications was this person on? What did the physical exam reveal?
There isn't enough information here to make any sort of guess on whether or not the morphine had any role in this person's problems.
(Zofran shouldn't matter, and the diabetes shouldn't have an impact either.)
If you are concerned about cause of death, insist on an autopsy. The hospital ought to be able to take care of that for you.
