Is lying about asthma to get into the military a crime?

Other people asked questions on various topics, and are still
waiting for answer. Would be great if you can take a sec and
answer them

Is lying about asthma to get into the military a crime?I've been asking a lot of questions regarding my asthma and military qualification state (and I'll be asking a LOT more) so here goes. Some people tell me to tell MEPS immediately and some people say NOT to say anything. I have "very mild asthma" as quoted by my doctor and i only get set off by really intense amounts of cigarette smoke. It's NOT exercise induced (I've NEVER had even CLOSE to an attack my exercising) and I'm certain i can get through BCT with it.
I want to join 11b.

it won't matter, they will find out when you have your physical done.

Have you actually been tested for it or did your doctor just say that you had it based on the symptoms? If you have never been tested for it, which most people aren't then it's not a problem and there is no point to bring it up. If you have how ever. Yes you are better off to tell them right away.

Good Luck!!!

Yes, it is fraudulent enlistment if you intentionally lie about a condition that disqualifies you from service. Do it at your own risk but don't expect them to be nice to you if they find out.
