Not "I dislike," or "it makes my breathing funny." Actual allergy.
One does not hear of allergies to fireplaces, etc...

I know what you're saying. I think people say that because if they offer a "medical" reason, it makes their complain more legitimate. I smoked for a long time, but quit several years ago and smoke now bothers me when I'm out, but it isn't an allergy. I think that;s bull, but I am sure people will disagree with me.

I know what you mean. I have allergies and I used to smoke. Smoke does not cause allergies but it can cause you to cough and sneeze, which can insight an already dormant allergy. Smoke does not cause allergies. People say they do but they don't!

Well, I've witnessed a person pass out shortly after someone blew a huge puff of cigarette smoke in her face. She had to be taken to the hospital. It is possible but not usually that severe. her case is pretty rare.

Some people are allergic to all types of smoke, cigarette or otherwise. My little brother is so badly allergic to smoke that my dad (a 20 year smoker) had to quit.
