it sort of hurts to breathe?whenever i run outside in the cold my chest hurts really bad, but it normally goes away after i come inside. today we ran outside for PE (49 degrees) and my chest hurt really bad. thing is, it didn't go away when i came inside and it still hurts to breath. that was at about noon, and its 4:15 now. why does this happen every time i go outside? what can i do to make this go away?

i don't have asthma as far as i know. when i was in probably 5th grade (im a senior now) i was told i had "athletic asthma" which i think the doctor just made up to get me to shut up lol. i have a really good lung capacity, back when i swam i could hold my breath for 50 yards. that's not it.

yeah i guess athletic asthma would be the same. that's just what he called it. he gave me an inhaler, but that was 7 years ago. i do have one for my allergies though i could try.

sometimes i get the same thing but its under my rib cage. just push where the area hurts and it should go away. thats what i do. it might just be cramps, i dont know why, i dont know how. this is just my personal experience

Breathe in through your nose to help warm the air when you run. Atheletic asthma? Exercised induced asthma? Did he give you an inhaler? Might help.
