Swine Flu Vaccine is so "safe" they recalled 172,000 doses in Canada over life-threatening allergy potential?in ref to:
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory?id=9162438
"GlaxoSmithKline pulls batch of swine flu vaccines in Canada over severe allergy fears"
"...the company issued the advice after reports that
one batch of the swine flu vaccine might have caused more allergic reactions than normal."
More allergic reactions THAN NORMAL? Allergic reactions occur on a basis deemed NORMAL? Is that how "safe" the swine flu vaccine is? No wonder the U.S. government granted makers of the flu vaccines full legal immunity from vaccination liability.
The spokesperson for the flu vaccine maker "declined to say how many doses had been administered before the advice to stop using them was given." (Source: http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2009-11-24-glaxo-flu-vaccine-pull_N.htm )
You may be right: CBS News was responsible for telling the public CDC overestimated swine flu cases. See here: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/10/21/cbsnews_investigates/main5404829.shtml?tag=contentMain;contentBody
julz: They don't recall a vaccine for the reasons you state. The lot of the vaccine they made is unsafe. End of story. To say the vaccine is "safe" is meaningless in light of this.

The main allergic people get from vaccines of any sort is from the process of them using an egg for production. If you have any type of allergy to egg products they don't advise getting the vaccine. They have one called a tissue culture vaccine no as an alternative.

-all- medication and -all- vaccines pose the risk of allergic reaction. Hello, you're human and you have an immune system, and sometimes it misbehaves.
Wait, should we also have not eradicated polio and smallpox because people have allergic reactions to those vaccines? Hey, catching polio must be WAY better than an allergic reaction which in the vast majority of cases is perfectly treatable.
