Why would a Filipino becomes allergy in eating seafood, and fish?I, now call TAHONG -- E.R. (emergency room)! Been many times in that room cuz of "tahong" One of my favorite seafoods! Thinking this is not real! "I am not allergy, it is not happening to me!" cannot eat more than half of it! just like Shrimp, and Tilapia, Bangus, and other pinoy fish dishes ... and I love Sushi, too. :( what happened?

Shit happens unfortunately! My mum suddenly developed a cheese allergy and her doctor told her that sometimes things like that can just develop. The advice she got was to lay low and not eat any for a while and then slowly introduce it back into her daily food and see how it goes. Hope this helps, my mum just has good and bad days but now she also has anti lactose tablets for the bad days. Shame though, I love Kinilow though.!! Hope this may help you. Take care, love the Philippines too.

There is no easy answer to this question. Food allergies can onset at ANY age and at ANY time in ANY persons life. Medical science can not PREDICT nor can they CURE this thing. Please be VERY VERY careful in the future about sea foods if you have suffered ONCE then you could DIE from Anaphylactic Shock! This illness has NOTHING to do with RACE!!!! It is caused by your coming into contact with microscopic spores. I am NOT joking here. My ex wife almost died from a shrimp dinner last week!!!!!!!!!

I would die instantly if i will never be able to get rushed in a hospital within 4-5 hours after eating such crustaceans.

Unfortunately people can suddenly develop allergies to things they have never been allergic to in the past. In my own experience I have developed allergies to certain medications I had been able to previously take without a problem.
Talk to your family doctor about it, he may even want to send you for allergy testing. In the meantime, please don't continue to eat seafood. An allergic reaction can be life threatening!
