Can you grow out of an allergy?I have a milk allergy and wondered if I'll ever "grow out" of it? I discovered this aged about 13 and am now 18 so I'm guessing not. It's just that I've heard sometimes babies can be allergic to milk for their first few years then they get used to it.

sometimes but usually not.

Hi this is easy//
There is a process in medicine called desensitizing
It generally applies to any product you are allergic to

You need to slowly desensitize your body to milk

This is how you do it
On day 1 take about 1 ml of milk
On day 2 take about 2 ml of milk
So every day slowly you increase the ml of milk you take and with time you will suspired that you can soon be tolerant to milk..
All the best and you need someone to do it for you in a meticulous manner..
If you are still sensitive then soya milk is there to bail you out I guess
Bye

It does happen that sometimes one grows out of an allergy, but it's not something that you can count on- especially with milk allergies.

It is quite possible to grow out of an allergy but it is most common to grow out of low level allergies such as hay fever but it could happen with a food allergy
