Feels like my doctor is always hitting on me?Ok so I had to get a new family doctor since the one i had before was retiring...and I've been seeing this new doctor for about a year now...and everytime I go in to see him, I feel like he's hitting on me. He won't remember things about me like having asthma or quitting smoking, but he'll remember that I had a boyfriend and almost every time I've seen him he's made sure to say that he thinks I'm beautiful. I'm 18, and I live on my own, and there are really no other family doctors in the area who are taking new patients...I don't know what to do. I went for a Pap today and it was reallyyy awkward...he asked me about my boyfriend again and when I told him we werent together anymore he was like "ohh so you're single now....." like in a flirtatious way...WHILE he's doing his thing down there....Help?! I don't want to report him unless something like really bad happens....but I feel so weird. He's probably in his 30's.
Maybe I should get referred to a gynocologist for those iffy appointments such as Paps and what not?
I also was asking him about how much it would be to have something removed from my body, like cosmetic surgery or whatever, and he offered to do it for free?...like what is tha tabout?

some people are just like that, but i know how you feel! it can be REALLY awkward! if it truly makes you feel uncomfortable, then you might want to switch to a new doctor! and yes, gynecologists are better for appointments like that!

Find a female doctor.

Report him anyways girl! Or confront him!!! Tell him you feel uncomfortable with his actions and ask him to stop!

You ought to find a new Md. unless you like his hitting on you...because he is not behaving appropriately whether he just does it with you or ALL his female patients.
Re: the boyfriend question, you could've said you have a boyfriend.
You sound like you are attracted to this MD.
Why would you wait till "something really bad happens".
That doesn't make any sense at all!! That you are even figuring out how old he is...is not appropriate for you.
If you are really concerned, tell him you feel uncomfortable & feel it's inappropriate when he asks you about your boyfriend
& his reaction to your saying you're not with him anymore...that you think it was strange that he said he would do work for free.
You really need to decide & let yourself know if you like him.
Then decide what you want to do about it. Just think, why would you tell us you live on your own. Try to be honest with yourself; stop seeing him as a doctor & see if it works out.
