Will a yellow cake mix produce "Golden Oreo" type cookies?I'm looking for a recipe that makes cookies that are hard, like Oreos, or those off-brand, vanillia flavored sandwich cookies. I need to be able to crush them for a layer in an ice cream cake I'm making, so I want them to come out crunchy. I would just buy Oreo's but my son has a peanut allergy and I don't take any chances when the labels are vague. Thanks!

short bread cookies are very similiar to oreo cookies and can be crushed
regular cake mix is too soft
