How do i say "i can not eat Horapa (thai basil)" or "can i please not get horapa in my food" in thai?I am traveling to Thailand and i have a small allergy to Thai basil, it gives me cramps. I just want to eat and be merry without the pain!!

I can only speak a few words of Thai, just enough to make my self understood.
I found that when I need to say something, like tell a taxi driver where my dentist is in Chiang Mai, I get the sweet lady at the hotel desk to write it out for me and that works very well.
My friend Alan gave me a language translator that translates anything from most languages into most languages and it's a free download from google. It's called 'Tradduka' and you write 'tradduka free download' in the google ask-line and following the instructions to download it.
When you open it, you see two boxes and you choose, say, Thai, in the left box and English in the right box and you type your text in English, the translation comes up automatically in Thai and then you print that out or copy-n-paste it and send it in an email.

Just say the most simple way -- "Dee Chan kin bai horapa, mai dai!"
Or if you want to be more polite the Thai way, you say"
Kho Thot, dee chan rapratan bai horapa, mai dai kha!" (I'm sorry but I can not eat horapa leaves, please!")

A more effective and shorter (the longer the sentence, the more likely you will be misunderstood) but not at all impolite way is to say "Don't put Thai Basil (in my foof)" in Thai "Mai Sai Bai Hoh Rah Pah".

ok, the mai sai horapa is good - - don't put horapa
However - Thai people can be very literal and may interpret that as that you don't want more or extra
If it is already or normally in the sauce, you will have an issue - - you could say
mee horapa mai? - does it have horapa
kin mai dai - I cannot eat
mee pare horapa = I have an allergy...
