Is it true that having an allergy means having stronger immunity?I read this in wikipedia..

"It is characterized by excessive activation of certain white blood cells called mast cells and basophils by a type of antibody known as IgE, resulting in an extreme inflammatory response."

Allergy is not a regular process of skin eruption. Allergy is more or less reactive and sudden. Therefore, the theory of centrifugal action in homeostasis do not hold here completely. Though body is trying to protect itself, the action is feeble and irregularity in the functionaries are prominent here.
i.e. for e.g. histamine is irregularly flowing because the functionary behind its regulation are at fault. Those mechanism have failed or are irregular. That can be caused due to faulty assimilation system. So the repercussions and extent of impariment may be far reaching but relating to one source fountaining into various end results as maladies. Therefore, it should be construed as feeble immune presence or immunodeficiency rather than strong immune. The immunoglobulines (IgA to IgZ)of various kinds do have a say here. Most of the so called allergies disappear when a root mechanism is corrected. Repair or trying to stop histamines to stop allergy is like deceiving the body and the mind and is a management technique. The excessive release of the white cells is only a panic reaction of the body. Sending the reserves towards the last resistance before the fall of the citadel or like the larger flame of the candle before it burns out.

Allergy is like looking for God in outside universe when God is dwelling inside each of us.
It is like looking for Devil in outside world when Devil is within each of us. The intention of medicine is to metamorphose the Devil inside us to God inside us. When the Devil inside us make a damage within us, then the God outside us cannot be in harmony with the god within us. The devil outside then has an easy go. We call that devil outside as germs. They enter and the devil inside receive them and seat them and allow them to procreated and we call that a diseased or a morbid state. The mistake was within. Correct that Devil, make the God in us strong and all will be well then and will end well and in well being. The harmony between within and the without is all that is needed for homeostasis.

"Stronger" and "extreme" do not equate. Allergies mean your immune response totally goes mental, over-reacts, and can shut down other important functions (like breathing).
So no, it's not that it is stronger, just psychotic.

Since many people with allergies tend to be stereotypically "sickly", I would not say they have a "strong" immune system - just one that is incredibly inefficient. Like shooting a bazooka at a fly. Everyone in the whole room dies.
