Weird "butter" ish taste in mouth....allergy, medical cause? What do you think?

Hi,I did the following:

Weird "butter" ish taste in mouth....allergy, medical cause? What do you think? This is odd, but my mouth has a really buttery/oily taste to it for the past few days. Additionally, I have reflux and an acidic feeling in my tounge. I should note that we typically buy store brand butter, which recently changed, so I've tried a few different brands (settling finally on Wal Mart).

I'm not sure if it's the food causing this, an endocrine issue (I have a ton of them) or if it could be an allergy? Any ideas? I have no other symptoms other than those described above. Thanks!

If you have reflux (acid reflux, no?) that could be the cause. Many people report an unpleasant taste in their mouth when they experience acid reflux, especially if it's a common problem for them. I have heard of the taste being milky or buttery.

This does not sound like an allergy or endocrine issue, I would look into the acid reflux you've been experiencing.
