HELP 3 year old and food allergy question?I'm getting fish oil for my 3 year old son who has cerebral palsy. He has "food sensitivities". How common is fish allergy?

He will have to take the liquid because he can't swallow pills.

Also, which one would be more common: lemon/lime allergry or mango allergy? Some of the fish oils are flavored with these.

And of course I'm going to ask the doctor about all this, but sometimes it's good to get opinions from people who have more experience (ie people who actually have food allergies).

well i had this when i was younger and it isn't fun to deal with.. go see a Doctor i wouldn't be so sure asking the public who didnt know what they might say... my mom used to give me yellow tail because it helped somehow but it did for me... and lemon lime is more common i would say

Just dont feed him the allergic foods and If the allergy continues for 1 week send him to a doctor and give him a vaccine

I don't know about fish allergies, but shellfish allergies are common, and can be dangerous. Does he have hayfever? People who have hayfever are often allergic to foods that have the same type of pollen that causes their hayfever. For example, I am allergic to melons and fresh pineapple (canned pineapple is ok because the cooking destroys the enzymes.) I can't even begin to guess which of lemon/lime or mango would be more likely to be a problem. But you're asking your doctor, and he would be the best source.

Well, I have lemon allergy (but not lime) and have never heard about ANYONE else who has it ... in fact, folks look at me a little sideways when I am so picky about no lemon in restaurants. So, may be mango is more prevalent?
