A baby diagnosed with "failure to thrive" is being fed soymilk by her mother....?...What do you think? Could it be the
soymilk which is contributing to the problem? Soymilk is not really "milk." The baby has a milk allergy. The mother is a friend of my daughter. I told her to urge her friend to see her pediatrician about switching the baby to goat's milk instead.

she could also look in to a 'sensitive' formula that is lactose free, that is what we have our daughter on after finding she has a milk allergy.
-Cindy D
If the mother is following the pediatrician's advice, STAY OUT of it. If the baby is lactose intolerant, I don't think goat's milk will help.

She should be feeding her soy formula, not just milk. she needs more fat in her diet. If she is not latose intolerant then why not regular formula or breastmilk for the better?
-Mom-of-two
my two oldest were on soy formula, and so were most of my sister's 5 children and they all did fine, so I really don't think it is the formula. Are they eating enough? are they keeping it down?
