How has owning a "neti pot" changed your life?I am thinking about buying one because I have horrendous allergies and almost daily sinus headaches.

I can't say how it's changed my life just yet. I've decided to give it a try and have only been doing it for a few days. I can tell you that my sinuses feel clearer, I breathe better and after I do it, it feels very refreshing.
I would recommend giving it a try definately!

YES, it works VERY WELL!!! It has made my sinus headaches go away completly since I started using it... and I have no problems with my allergies! At night, I sleep sooo much better! You can breathe much much easier- and for the first time I am actually breathing through my nose occasionally (I have never been able to!)
I have had bad allergies and sinus problems my whole life and just started using the neti pot a couple months ago after my dad told me about it (his Dr had him use it for a sinus infection).
I had the same problem with my nose itchy- and the neti pot really helps to clear out the pollen and dust that gets in your sinuses.
It's really easy to use- Here are some tips, I learned from experience:)
I always use it in the shower (before I turn the water on) because then you dont have to worry about getting any water anywhere.
Make sure the water you put in the pot is room temperature (not too hot or too cold) because it should be the same temp as your body.
Also, be sure and mix the salt mixture that comes in the packets really well so it fully dissolves. If you run out of the packets that come with the neti pot, you can just use 1/4 tsp (about the size of the scoop that comes with the pot) of sea salt (that's what our Dr advised). That's the same thing that's in those packets.
There arent any major side effects... It may feel a little funny the first few times you do it. (It feels like when you get water up your nose swimming haha). Be sure you dont inhale or breathe through your nose while you are doing it- breathe slowly through your mouth the whole time. The only problems I have had are when the water I put in the pot was too hot it stung a little- so just be sure it is lukewarm. I also had salt water running out of my nose after the first couple times, but if you bend over like you are touching your toes, it all runs out.
I highly recomend buying a neti pot- they are cheap (about $ 10-$ 12) and you can find them at any drugstore like Walgreens or CVS. I really hope you like this- it has helped my dad and I both so much!!! Good luck:)
