Why do my hands become itchy, swollen when its hot and I'm in the sun? Is it a heat allergy?Sometimes when I go to the beach and it's really hot my hands and feet will start becoming really itchy. Later on in the day they become swollen, itchy, and sometimes blotchy. My lips have started to swell up to. I immediatly have to go inside and stay in a cold air conditioned room. If I go outside and sunlight hits my hands and feet I feel like I'm burning up. The only thing that can relieve my misery is cold air and cold water or ice. It's wierd because it only happens sometimes and I'm not allergic to anything. This "condition" goes away in a couple of days by itself. Help!! Am I the only one with this or does anyone else know something about it?

It almost sounds like angiodema, but its weird that heat would trigger it. If it was just the sun, it could be polymorphous light reaction or porphyria. I also left you another link to consider if its strictly from heat. My hands and feet used to burn in the heat of the sun too(not my lips) and now my hands and feet are slowly going numb. It might be the start of nerve damage. Are your hands really cold in the winter? You need a good medical to check you for potential circulation problems, blood tests for nerve problems like diabetis and to check for autoimmune diseases like lupus and porphyria.
