Do you truly believe that as a parent if you get sick you need to just "suck it up"?Or are you reasonable and know that sometimes there are some sicknesses that you literally cannot just "suck it up"?
I can see some allergy issues with sneezing and such as a "suck it up" type thing. But sitting on the toilet with a trash can in hands because you're puking outta both ends.... I don't see how *anyone* could just suck that up.
I'm speaking of the parent being sick, not the child.

I've done it. You should see Jax mimic me (that little monkey!). I don't have other options. I'm sick, but I still have him to deal with. Luckily it has only happened once :)

are you saying that a parent is saying that to a child?
Anyways, if you're puking and pooping, you're not sick enough to go to the emergency room. Everyone gets sick like that sometimes. The parent should monitor the child closely, check temperature, skin complextion, and other symptoms... but a doctor won't do jack shyt, except charge you 1000 dollars.

I would guess that some people HAVE to suck it up. Lots of people don't have the support others do. I wouldn't necessarily have to suck it up, but I have a lot of support from my husband, my family and his family. Some people aren't that lucky.
-Lil mama!
When I have a mild cold or just feel icky I suck it up... But if I have the stomach flu or I am recovering from surgery (something major) its off to grandmas house!
