Do you think this is a food allergy?

Hi,I did the following:

Do you think this is a food allergy? My APBT has little bumps around her snout and the pads of her feet are swollen. The vet can't get her in until thursday and I was wondering if i should switch her food and if so should i change it right away or do it gradually? Thanks in advance. P.S. the R/S folks post questions started "Spiritually Speaking".
What would be symptoms of a food allergy?

Could be ant bites or something similar. Start with some cortisone cream see if that helps. Maybe a little children's liquid benadryl (1 tsp per 10 lbs). Then take her to the vet on Thursday.

Food allergies are hard to pin point. If you want to try changing foods, go to a completely grain free kibble. We did and it's been amazing the difference in coat condition and energy levels.

This could be the sign of a food allergy, or it may be from something she got in contact with outside, whether it be a plant or a bug. When switching food, you have to do it over several weeks. You won't have time to totally switch her in the two days you have to wait to take her to the vet. If she has been on the same food for a while, and her swelling just started, it is not a food allergy. Did you feed her something (like a table scrap) that she isn't used to eating? That could have caused it. Just keep an eye on her, and contact your vet again if her swelling gets worse, or she develops any other symptoms.

P.S.: The folks on the R/S section like to post questions starting with "Spiritually speaking" to be funny, when the actual question doesn't have much to do with religion. They are just being silly.

dont change it right away and it does not sound like a food allergy could be an allergy to anything though. I know an APBT that is allergic to grass and that happens to her when she walks in it.

Well it could be, change the food once and see how she does. Otherwise if that doesn't work you will just have to wait until Thursday!
