How can I clean my room if I have severe allergies?I have really bad allergies, how can I "allergy-proof" my room to make it better for me to well...live in. I have carpet but unfortunately my parents cannot afford to take it out and put flooring in at the moment so I'm stuck with carpet for a while...so besides vacuuming and dusting what else can I do to help "allergy-proof" my bedroom.

no clutter allowed - if cleaning it is irritating then wear a face mask to clean it.
no piles of nothing anywhere - neatness counts.
run an air cleaner in your room 24/7. if you have carpeting have it taken up - wash the curtains and hang synthetic ones. change your bedding every 3 to four days - irrigate your sinuses.
clean the light fixtures/fans/window sills/floor boards - does need to be done often but does need to be done few times a yr.
wash all bedding (mattress cover/blankets) every month - change pillows every few months no feather anything in the room.
a cold air mist Humidifier when the heat a/c are running helps to sooth sinus's.
