Jatropha is under promotion as crop that can grow in less fertile soil and requires less water but when it is grown in fertile land and near perennial water sources you can see its performance. But here in Chhattisgarh the news is not very good. Due to climatic factors seed setting is poor and the luxuriantly growing Jatropha is of less use in terms of economic returns. If these plants are less productive then it is not less than burden. If you consider Jatropha shown in this film as weed then it is beyond imagination to manage it as "Cultivated weed".
