Asthma Info: Knowing this info, would you report these people to DCF?

Other people asked questions on various topics, and are still
waiting for answer. Would be great if you can take a sec and
answer them

Knowing this info, would you report these people to DCF?In regards to a 3 month old baby:

-Mother did not know milk/formula need to be heated up, as a result baby got sick.

-No car so they would walk miles, just because they were bored or wanted junk food, in the below 50 degree weather we've been having with out covering stroller to prevent wind getting at the baby or putting a little hat on to keep the heat from leaving his body.

-Baby was "having trouble breathing", took them to the ER. They wanted to sue the hospital b/c they did not do a chest scan. But they did do a physical exam and he was fine.

-Did not want to breast feed for fear of her already small boobs getting smaller.

-Leaving the baby in a truck of a man, that they met only once before, while the baby was screaming & crying so they could get stuff from inside the house.

There's probably a couple other things I forgot or just did not know about. But would you report them? If so, how would I go about doing that?

-Mom2Max
1. Formula/milk doesn't have to be heated up. My son drank formula at room temp - I know another child who drank it from the fridge. This will NOT cause a baby to get sick.

2. This isn't bad. I seriously doubt it is as severe as you state.

3. Why on Earth is that a reason to report them?

4. Again - vanity is not abuse

5. The baby was supervised. Not the best choice, but definitely not abusive or grounds to report them.

-L'il ole me
1. I never heated out formula. Babies don't need the milk heated.

2. You do realize that people trekked across the whole country on the Oregon Trail with babies and children in tow, don't you??

3. ahhhh, whatever

4. so???

5. I'm sure there is more behind this incident than *just* meeting some random stranger.

I think you need to find a hobby that does not involve poking your nose into other peoples business.

Well, first off formula does NOT have to be heated up. A walk in the fresh air is wonderful, especially out of boredom - beats sitting in front of the tv. Did the child have warm clothes on? Gosh, taking a child to the ER because it was having trouble breathing? Um, that would be like the opposite of abuse. Not breastfeeding is not child abuse. And I'm sure there is more to the story about the truck incident. Sounds like you just don't like these people and are looking to get them in trouble. And let me guess, you're not a parent are you?

-luvmy4boyz
no I wouldn't report them. Formula doesn't need to be heated up it can be given at room temperature. Walking outside in below 50 degrees with a baby in a stroller is not abuse just because it's windy. Not breastfeeding is not abuse regardless of the reasoning behind it. At best the things you describe can be listed as poor judgment, not abuse or neglect. Sounds like the parents could use some common sense but a call to CPS? No
