Dontcha love it when peeps say :" Ohh I can't eat that I have a MIlk allergy, can't eat any dairy"?THey claim they have serious :"Milk and dairy" allergies and yet one day they come ( as invited) to a friends home for a get together and they show up with a dip that has tons and tons of cream cheese, ranch dressing, and grated Colby jack cheese and are eating it like crazy.. My question is would you say anything in the future if they said :" OH I can't eat that" when you serve anything that has dairy?

I wouldn't feel the need to say anything to them and upset their little applecart. I would just be happy in my own knowledge that I know how strange they really are.

It is a polite way to say "I don't like that stuff."

I worked for an old fella who swore he was allergic to milk and it turned out he hated drinking it but woofed down ice cream and cheese like it was going out of style!

When my brother was a kid, he went into anaphylaxis (hives, trouble breathing) everytime he drank fresh cow's milk, or ate ice cream and things like that. But he was totally fine with anything cultured like cheese, yogurt or buttermilk. The milk from our goats also did not cause any problems for him.
He grew out of that though.
I would probably be annoyed too, but I wouldn't let it bother me. That person might just have a crazy immune system like my brother did.
I would ignore it when they say they can't eat stuff. Let them eat or not eat what they want. It's their loss.
