How can I convince my mum to stop smoking ?My mum has been smoking for a very long time, but sometimes she quits...and then she starts again after about 2 months. It is really making me upset because I have inhaled so much cigarette smoke over the years which annoys me enough as it is, but the smoke also gives me horrible headaches..I've tried explaining this to my mum but she STILL lights up cigarettes round me all the time...and she KNOWS that I have asthma. I have tried alot of times to make her quit, I once hid alll of the lighters that I came accross, but she found them all..and obviously carried on smoking. My sister, who is only a year older than me, also smokes which upsets me because she is still young and I'm very frightened that I will lose her at an age that nobody should die at. I'm also frightened that I will lose my mum due to smoking, and it's upsetting me so much. Iv given my mum phone numbers for those people that help you quit, and I've tried saying things to her to make her feel guilty..like "I'm not going to stand here and watch you smoke your way to your death" but I don't think anything I try is working :( what can I do ?? All I want is for my mum to stop smoking, and my sister, and if they did.. they don't know how happy I would be. :'( please help me.. x

I don't smoke but i have heard it is harder than heroin to withdraw from. An idea i heard about is electronic cigarettes and anyone (you lol) nearby no longer has to breathe in second hand smoke. I'll add a link. You can reduce the nicotine in the cigarette until there is none.
