When did your baby grow out of their milk protein allergy?im breastfeeding but cant eat dairy because my baby is allergic. Doctor said he will grow out of it, just wondering at what age your baby was when/if they "grew out of" their dairy allergy?

my son also has the same allergy! he has not grown out of it but its a 50/50 chance which most grow out of it by 2 years of age!

my son was lactose intolerant when he was born. i dont know at exactly what age he was that it stopped but at about a 10 months old i had a baby sitter abd she couldnt find the formula so she gave him a bottle of milk, i flipped out when i found out, but i took him to the doctor and she said he was fine that he had grown out of it. and both of my "step" daughters i guess were also lactose intolerant when theywere babies but niehter are now. i couldnt tell you when they grew out of it though.

My daughter is 16 months and still has a milk allergy. It is very slight though. The doctors say by 18 months to 2 years old she should have outgrown it.
I must say this though, she drinks Soy milk and I have done a lot of reading and spoke with a few doctors ranging from her normal Ped to a GI specialists and they both agree the soy is safe.
It actually has less "hormones" than regualr milk and less sugar. And the soy beans with silk are naturally grow, no steriods like the cows producing todays milk.
