can parents who were affected by second hand smoke affect their kids?both of my parents dont smoke but both of their parents smoked night and day. Which means that my parents were both severely affected by second hand smoke all of their lives. And my whole life ive had problems with running like im not in too bad of shape and probably underweight if you put my age and weight together but anyways any time i run the mile for school or run to long in a sport i feel like i cant breathe and my throat feels really cold when i inhale. Now i know what most of you are gonna say like "dont worry it happens to everyone" but its not like that because if i try and push myself to far i get winded and get on the verge of throwing up. Do you think i have sport-induced asthma maybe? lemme know your thoughts.. thanks

second hand smoke is something that is acquired. it is not hereditary

no, if the children aren't directly exposed to the smoke from cigarettes can't be affected by it. about getting out of breathe, you are probably just out of shape, but you should talk to your doctor if you think it might be asthma
