Did these healthcare workers act appropriately or not? Was it me, or was it them?

Do you find what you need? Look here!

Did these healthcare workers act appropriately or not? Was it me, or was it them? This is in healthcare, and I'm not sure if this was appropriate or not. I parked by an emergency room, and walked in, where I usually park and enter through there to get to the waiting room and cafeteria whatever; so I walk in today and a few of the employees at front treat me nicely and say hi with a smile, then i said, "Oh I'm just going to use the machine to get some water," because i was actually feeling better by the time i got there, I have to occasionally waltz in because of asthma or panic attacks, and I was assuming that they were nice and it was all going to end in a friendly okay, be good, but instead the lady got an attitude with me and was like "no, hold up,...there are no more machines left in the ER, they're removed, and ..you can't walk in here to get to the caf!! Let alone PARk out side right there. I don't think so! She looked annoyed and so did the other guys."

I guess they assumed I was okay so I said, "okay...sorry, where can I park?"

And they looked at me as to say, wtf, you don't know where you can parK? That was rude b/c I'm not from the area, and don't usually go there TOO often, so then they told me it was the garage across the street, and I said okay, have a nice day, very friendly, and they all looked at me like I was either a freak, a lunatic,, a loser, a something, I don't know but they just treated me so....badly just because of that.

WHAT did I do wrong?

I mean if i walked in there wanting to be seen and THEN proceed to go to the caf and wherever else I wanted to, I'm sure I wouldn't have gotten treated like that.

I know it's an ER, and it's for emergencies only, but I guess I just got used to going through there because of all the health issues I've dealt with.

I kind of see where they're coming from, but I'm a grown man, they even called me sir, I know what I'm doing, and they treated me like a crazy person!

Seriously, why are health care workers so arrogant, mean, nosy, and just treat you so weirdly? They really do; I'm sure they've seen it all but I mean..the way they treated me was so disrespecful.

Like they were TRYING to make me feel 2 feet tall. Why the attitude? jeez.

I experience the same thing too , I called the ER on Monday afternoon to ask if I should bring my 3 month old because of a high temp. (102.4)
The lady on the other line was inconsiderate , mean woman , said "I can't give you any advice over the phone". I asked "why not, I'm just asking if this is to high of a temp, and I'm a first time mom and don't know if this is normal, Hes a baby !" She keep talking over me and keep saying "I can't help you" , I ask for her supervisor cause by then I was pissed off and she said "here I am". I told her if you where in my position, you would have wanted someone on the phone to be respectful and tried to help . I'm just trying to do the right thing for my baby and get some help. I don't want to argue with you. She laughed and said is there anything else I can do for you? I asked for her name and her position .
"Jen and she was the charge nurse at St Joseph in Stockton ca . Mean Nurses don't ever go there! They don't care for there patients even though we pay there pay checks.
