If yorkies and poodles are good dogs for allergy sufferers why a "yorkiepoo" not so good?ive seen that both breeds are good for allergies but everytime i was around a family members yorkiepoo i had severe allergy attacks. it was the worst ive ever had with a dog. i have a hound and i can just take allergy pills and be fine. why was the yorkiepoo bad since both breeds are good for allergies?
btw i know a yorkiepoo is a mutt so lets not start with that argument thanks
he wasnt a shelter dog he was bread to be a "designer breed". i think its dumb too they picked the dog not me i avoided the dog like the plague cuz he made my face swell as made me sneeze uncontrolably

Because no dogs are hypoallergenic.

Everyone's allergies are different. A friend had a yorkie and he made my allergies terrible, but my dog is a yorkie/pom mix and I'm not allergic to him at all. It really just depends on the person and the dog, which is why they advise you to check out a puppy before you buy/adopt it.

Well, I'll suggest that part of the problem is that shelter workers mean well, but they are often just guessing about some of the dogs they get. I have a shelter dog they listed as a "shepherd mix." There is nothing about her that is shepherd-like except her color: she's a black sable. She has a shar-pei's face and ears and tail, a husky's body and voice (rare barks, more common woo-wooing and yodeling), a rather Chow-like personality: she's a diva (she can amuse herself, thank you, unless she wants your attention)(and she will NOT retrieve; if you wanted the silly toy, why did you throw it?).
People adopt cute puppies and believe the tag on the kennel is gospel. It's probably just a guess.

Because people who cross two 'purebreds' are crossing the WORST of the 'purebreds' to make a so-called 'designer breed.' No good, reputable breeder would ever do this, or allow his less than show-quality animals to breed. So when the worst of the worst is bred, and crossbred, even fairly predicatable traits such as "low-shed" are in serious question.
PS: The dog of mixed breed in the shelter is exactly the same as the 'designer' mutt, just less expensive (the second time around) and every bit as allergenic.
