Has anyone had "brain fog" while taking generic Claritin?I have been taking the generic Claratin (Loratadine) for a couple of months. I've noticed that I have some strange brain fog-type sensations, and wonder if this could be an "unknown" side effect of this medication. I didn't have this while taking other allergy meds. Some days it feels like I'm in a tunnel under water - just no clarity in thinking at all, and if I move suddenly, I'm really dizzy.
Anyone else have this happen?

Hello,
I have definitely experienced the "brain-fog" type of sensation with generic Claritin. I also have had this with Zyrtec. Now I take Zyrtec (available over the counter in the U.S.) at night, and Allegra (prescription only in the U.S.) during the day. I usually split the Allegra in half so I won't get "brain-fog". Re: the dizziness, I get that when my sinuses are getting full, which is due to my allergies. Never had the dizziness relating to these meds.
Best wishes to you, hope you feel better SOON.
By the way, I am now getting allergy shots and I can't believe how much better my allergies are
