Any answers?? I have a lipstick allergy-but still want to use lipstick!?"I developed a make-up allergy a year ago, and my dermatologists have me on steroids(after nothing else worked).I react to most so-called `hypo-allergenic` make-up as well.Is there ANY make-up, or at least lipstick that I can use?????? This condition has left me with a lot of unsightly patches on my face(despite the fact I have stopped using make-up),and I have become self-conscious as all my associates comment on how my face looks(out of concern!@#) and now I feel the need to `cover` my face and lips a little.
Is there someone out there who has been down this lane? Thanks in anticipation of your response(s)

ask a someone at a cosmetic booth at the mall or somthing about it. There is a company called Clarins that makes non allergenic makeup. Good luck

What about things like "Bare Minerals", they are made from pure mineral bases. They supposed to be very good for your skin. I'm not much of makeup person to begin with but I know from trying them they are very light and natural looking.
What about some kind of lip stain? Maybe something that is got food/based coloring... Try a vitamin store or a place like "Whole Foods" that have all kinds of natural based makeups and skin care.

You could try some mineral makeup, sometimes that helps people with allergies. But I'd beware of which you try. I've seen Beauty Bliss Cosmetics and Everyday Minerals recommended. You can get cheap samples from BBC at http://www.beautyblisscosmetics.com/

If you're not allergic to food dyes, here's one of my secrets: I lick red and purple skittles candies, and then rub then on my lips. The dye will transfer over to your lips, and actually lasts a decent amount of time. Then you can put Vaseline over them as a gloss, since vaseline doesn't usually affect people with make-up allergies.
