Any answers?? I have a lipstick allergy-but still want to use lipstick!?"I developed a make-up allergy a year ago, and my dermatologists have me on steroids(after nothing else worked).I react to most so-called `hypo-allergenic` make-up as well.Is there ANY make-up, or at least lipstick that I can use?????? This condition has left me with a lot of unsightly patches on my face(despite the fact I have stopped using make-up),and I have become self-conscious as all my associates comment on how my face looks(out of concern!@#) and now I feel the need to `cover` my face and lips a little.

Is there someone out there who has been down this lane? Thanks in anticipation of your response(s)

Go to Ulta & let them apply 1 of the Mineral Base make-ups to 1 side of your face or inside your wrist to see if they will work for you.

I've had great success with the lip and cheek stain from the Body Shop. It doesn't have a lot of the oils and preservatives that normal lipstick and make-up have. I've still had reactions to some of their products (Warming face mask made a mess of my neck-but my face felt wonderful! Wasn't worth the neck itchiness though!) The lip stain gives a really nice look but doesn't look really fake. If you want it to look like lipstick it won't help, but adds a lot of color to your lips.
Another success for me was Bare Minerals. As long as I don't use it daily I don't break out. (I think its the skin boost you apply under the minerals that causes problems). I don't wear make-up daily, but its nice to know I can now when I want to. Don't give up, it took me forever to find something that felt good that didn't cause me to react.
Just remember your inner beauty is what really counts. (Nice to have the outside reflect it though!) Good luck and always try on delicate skin first! I use my upper chest above my breast because I can cover it if it causes a rash but its delicate like my face!
