Children "grow out of their allergies"?

Other people asked questions on various topics, and are still
waiting for answer. Would be great if you can take a sec and
answer them

Children "grow out of their allergies"?My 5 year old has many allergies with severe reaction.

I'm told he'll "grow out" of most of them, is this often the case?

Most likely not. You are born with the allergic reaciton, just depends on your immune system. Likewise, you can't all of a sudden be allergic to bees later in life.

My brother had all sorts of allergies when he was little and he did grow out of them. I don't think that is true for everyone though.

People "grow" into and out of allergies. As a child I had some that do not affect me now, (at least not as much).

However as I grew older I got some new ones. Cats, dogs and birds, started after I was 18.
I used to get bee stings as a kid and now I react badly to the point I need a bee sting kit.

Weird one was I worked in a fish market cutting fish for 3 years during High School and the 3'rd year I started reacting to the fish, most likely the iodine. Had to wear rubber gloves at work till I quit.

Sometimes they do, or they don't change, or it can be the opposite, I grew into allergies. I was born with only one allergy, and now I have too many to count. I'm lucky enough to only have a moderate reaction.
